(More customer reviews)I purchased this as a gift for my little train enthusiast, not realizing that it was aged 6-12, and he's about to turn 4. Happily, though, the directions that came with the kit were extremely clear, and it was a great Mommy and Me project to build the first train. Amazingly enough, the kit utilizes all the pieces for the steam train at least, and there are quite a few of them. My little guy found each piece, and assembled what he could under my instruction, and I helped out when he could not get the pieces to pop together. The finished train even rolls, which thrilled him, and we BOTH felt a sense of accomplishment when it was completed. Highly recommended (under $[..]? SOOO worth it!)
***Addendum, Feb, 2009 - This should be priced at around [...] dollars.

(More customer reviews)My son really has fun playing with his new wash center. I couldn't tell you where he saw it the first time but was asking for it for 2-3 weeks. He was very specific and knew exactly what it was called. When we found it online we had to buy it. He received it for his birthday and hasn't stopped playing with it. I personally thinks it's pretty cool too. NO BATTERIES needed. The train powering the wash is ingenious. Great toy.

It is not designed young kids, but is a fine model for the adult model railroader. I have owned several items of the Bachmann line of 0n30, and this engine stands right along side them in detail and operation. An affordable option in 0n30.

Thomas And Friends Wooden Railway - Steaming Around Sodor Battery Powered Set Review

(More customer reviews)This track does not fit together properly. One side has a 4 inch piece and a 6 inch piece (total: 10). The other side has a 4 inch piece and a 8 inch piece (total: 12). Because of the missing 2 inches, the train falls off the corners and gets stuck under the bridge.
Incredibly frustrating trying to put this together. Fortunately, I Googled the set's name and found a bunch of reviews on Target.com elaborating on the same problem.
(Note the bridge support pieces don't hold together well either.)
