(More customer reviews)S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Call of Pripyat is one of those games that you either get into it, or you don't but don't ever hate.
The STALKER series does have a plot and the plot is well grounded, however STALKER is really about exploration and "living" in the zone rather than speed running through the game.
And the developers made it very easy to get drawn into the world of STALKER, everything from the wind blowing in your face to gun shots far out in the wilderness all creates this world that YOU ARE ALONE and only you can keep yourself alive, eating regularly and scavenging for ammo, weapons, food and medical supplies after witnessing a dynmaic faction war going down in the distance.
The great thing about STALKER is that you are not the only one living there, other NPCS create groups, form friendships and make camp during the night, only to be ambushed by bandits before DAWN, this actually happens, it is not scripted, it's all dynamic!However, there's only so much the devs can do to pull you into the world of STALKER, and it shows, the graphics are looking quite dated on average, though there are times the scenery looks almost photorealistic.Call of Pripyat makes a GREAT expansion to the first STALKER game.
