(More customer reviews)This locomotive has all the problems of the ones on which it is based: turn radius. It will negotiate 18" but loses over half its speed and may derail if your track isn't perfectly laid out. On 22" it still slows down significantly more than smaller locomotives. However, I can't hold any of these "problems" against the model because they're flaws with the original design. Also like the original design, it can pull a LOT. It doesn't contain too many small parts, making more durable than most of the Spectrum line. If you run it "realistically" with slow-ish freight on easy turns you'll be very happy.
